Think you’ve got what it takes to wow the crowd and take home the title of Red Hot Pop Battle Champion? This year at Portsmouth Chilli & Gin Festival, we’re turning up the heat with an electrifying competition where solo artists and bands battle it out in front of a live audience.

Whether you’re a pop powerhouse, an indie sensation, or a rock legend in the making, we want to showcase the best musical talent Portsmouth has to offer. The audience will decide who takes home the £500 cash prize—so bring your A-game, your biggest hits, and your most high-energy performance!

How to Apply

We’re looking for the best acts Portsmouth and the uk has to offer! To apply for a Sunday performance slot, simply fill out the application form below and tell us why you deserve a spot in the competition.

• When: Sunday, 29th June 2025, at Portsmouth Chilli & Gin Festival 2025

• Where: Fort Purbrook, Portsmouth

• Prize: £1000 for the winning band, decided by audience vote

• Entry Fee: Free to enter – we want to hear your talent, not your wallet!
